    Nice fish, getting away from crappie fishing once and awhile don't hurt anything either. Keeps the blood pumping don't it! Very nice indeed. Thanks for sharing the report with us.

    I'm not a kitty chaser, but we have hung some monster blue cats pulling crappie jigs in shallow water this time of year. They seem to love shallow water areas in back of Cooter Creek. Wonder if the cats spawn shallow this time of year too ??

    From what I've read the cats spawn when the water is 75*-80*. Up in the shallows it could very be be there too. I've already gotten one report of some nice blues being caught 10 miles up the river.
