I would be concerned that having three gatherings closely spaced might be too much and cause attendance to drop off. However, if we do have a gathering at Larto I'll try to be there.

I'll definitely try to attend whenever it takes place.

RMGeorge, I thought about that but the best time to catch the crappie stacked up is in the winter months. November to February so I would rather go when there is a good chance of catching fish. If we do it when the fishing isn't good then the attendance will drop off to. lol! I was thinking we would have a month after the Darbonne gathering (November) and a month (really two) before the Toledo gathering (last weekend in February).

I'm in, assuming no serious schedule conflicts. Fishing and gatherings rank near the top on my schedule!

We'll see Dwayne. I thought the cabins at Uncle Bud's were nice. Interesting that they were made to float. Sliding slips on poles, Styrofoam underneath (I looked), etc. Danny didn't care for them because the bathrooms are small - after all he is 5' X 5'

Yea Randy, they aren't as nice as Darbonne cabins but they are nicer than the ones I stay in at Toledo (I always stay in the unrefurbished cabins). I just need a place to sleep and a place to shower/bathroom. They do allow dogs too if I remember right.

Man you guys love that cold water fishing huh? I just quit fishing as soon as it gets cold and don't start until Feb, LOL! I don't pass on Feb ever especially since in 2014 they came in by Feb 3rd so I am pretty convinced that this year was a fluke bad fishing time due to such a screwed up winter! Always live the gatherings, but just have to pass due to possible freezing weather. I do know the Coop here gets a ton of attention in winter, but in all my years of fishing I have never been there and don't think I ever will see that spot, LOL! When I was younger it was hunting that got my attention and now it's just the weather i do my best to avoid! I would still be hunting, but got tired of having to move everything from one lease to another one for what ever reason. Once I moved all that crud 3 times, I sold it all, the blind and feeders!

Hope you guys have a great gathering and catch a ton of fish!

Yes they do, that's why we've been there. Haven't stayed anywhere (Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, etc.) that wasn't lab friendly. If they're not welcome, then neither am I.
