KY Lake crappie 4/11 &12

Chaunc and some of his buddies are in town and Quackrstackr and I had the pleasure of taking TOBrushpile out yesterday and today. Chaunc had his boat full also. We fished a lot of new (for us) water and caught enough crappie to make it interesting. We also hammered some really nice catfish, both channels and blues. Fish were caught longling curlytails in less than 10 feet of water. It was an honor to be able to fish with these guys since they are truly great fishermen and good friends. Even if no fish were caught, we laughed and joked enough to keep things moving and fun. Got to have pretty thick skin to hang with this bunch.

We got to see floatntiny catch several nice fish.

Had a ball, guys!!

A couple more pics from this weekend. TO and the guys are planning to come back down next month for the redear/bluegill spawn. Maybe by that time "Habachi King" restuarant in Murray can restock. Between the 6 of us, we put a hurt on them Saturday. Buffet is my middle name!!

Chaunc is here till close to the end of the month. Hopefully we can get together and share one or the other's boat. I'm telling you, the man is a machine when it comes to fishing. I can't hold a candle to his skills.

We hope to get back down ya'lls way soon. Good to see from Crappie.Com on the water. With the wind blowing the way it was and trying to keep my rods untangled I did't have much time to talk.

Got to thank Doug and Tim for their hospitality and for getting me out of a jam. I only knew that two guys were coming on Thursday. Thursday evening I get a call that my brother is only two hours away and he'd be here by 10 oclock that evening. My boat's not big enough for four let alone four guys our size. ( hence the hurting we put on that buffet ) Had already made plans to follow Doug and Tim Saturday morning so we rented a pontoon on Friday and fished JC. Doug volunteered to take T O out with him for Saturdays trip and I guess he had so much fun, he volunteered to take him sunday too. They must have caught a few nice fish as T O has been smiling since he got off the boat. Thanks again fellas for helping make their trip down enjoyable. They hit the road for home this morning with around ten bags of fish each.

It was great to see all of you guys again. I had a large time and my sides are still sore from laughing. Hopefully we can get back together before you take off or at least get back together when you come back down.

Wow! Nice fish and looks like a big time was enjoyed by everyone! Those KY Lake fellas show a goodtime, don't they!!

I'm coming down early Wednesday morning by myself and the wife/son will be down late Thursday night. I reckon I might buy two tubs of wigglers and chase those crackers!!
