No one at Enid has heard about a possible change . With that being said I was told the name of the lake could change before sunset . It is a government facility .

That was to be expected when the price of oil (gas at the pumps) dropped. State revenue has a budget. The "more minners for me" attitude will get you one way or another.

Considering it's been $3 for the past 24 years it has been collected, what percent should it increase to keep up with inflation?

There are times that my annual pass pays for itself in less than 2 weeks, this last couple of weeks comes to mind and it will increase for the next 6 weeks and then this summer. Not skeered to say I use a COE boat launch 100 times throughout the year, thats 300 buck if I were to pay each time but with the pass its been being only 30 bucks. Little off, guys were jumping at a chance to pay 10 bucks to launch at Whittington 2 weeks ago in the Crappie Masters tourney, little mans before it closed was 6 or 7 bucks over there. The State Lakes are 7 for you to unload a boat and fish, if someone is fishing with you its 12. It is was it is, most of us burn more in gas on the lake than what it cost to unload at a COE ramp. Maybe just maybe they are wanting to build more of the docks in like they did at Grenada, man it sure is nice!!!

My opinion is it should be free to begin with. All the $$'s spent by fishermen in and around the lakes helps the state and local merchants. You don't pay to drive across the roads in the parks and lakes. And if they do raise the price, it certainly should not be 200% just because they haven't raised it in X # of years. I'd love for docks to be added at Sardis at areas that need it. But engineering point at sardis is the last area that needs one. Its already protected from wind, etc. and fairly easy to park your boat. Maybe if they could just show where the funds are being used I'd be more positive on paying. Doesn't make much sense I just paid $50 for a license and then turn around and pay almost double that to put my boat in.
