Default For any that has ever tried....

To replace the roof on a travel trailer, DON'T. I picked this camper up CHEAP about 2.5 years ago and it's been great for what me and my family do and we have gotten our money out of it. It had a leak when I bought it and I could never get it completely stopped so I decided I was going to replace the roof myself. I was going to try and sell it to someone as a hunting camp ( as long as it has a cover over it there is t a problem) but with a kid in college we just didn't have the money to buy a replacement camper right now. I've got seven solid days in this project and I started the 3rd weekend in January. Waiting on parts and the weather played a part in the delays. I've got approx $600 in this. Looking forward to taking it out this coming weekend. I saved some major coin but it was some hard work. It is approx 4-5k for a dealership to do it. If we can get another couple years out of it we are going to upgrade. Btw it's a 2002 coachman Catalina 30 footer. Name: ImageUploadedByTapatalk1425520726.115519.jpg

Will hopefully get my AC unit mounted tomorrow. I decided to do away with the antennas because I have a dish network that goes everywhere with us.

Great job. Not many could do that. You might consider the antenna for whoever gets it next. Now get back to posting those pig pictures and enter them for the Golden Shiner.

Too late. Already trashed it. That where I'm headed this weekend. Hopefully this weather will start to cooperate soon. We need some warmer water up this way.

I watched a video on replacing the roof on YouTube and said " I could do that" lol. I knew it was going to be labor intensive but oh my. I wouldn't do it again that's for sure.

Excellent work! That is a task! That shoudl last a good long time for you for sure........ However ... I have a feeling you wont be liking that black roof in a few months...theres a brush on roof coating that will cover that and turn it white - or silver/white-ish. Extra protection and the roof wont be 300000 degrees. Im sure youre ready to take a break from it for now...that would have to be done when it warms up some anyway.

Yeah. Cool seal is what we call it. I just want some consistent warm weather before input that on. It will definitely be cooler once I get it coated.
