I was thinking the same thing as Bill. Some folks act shocked that if it is late cold and getting dark I clean them on a cutting board on kitchen sink. They ask if Nimrod's catch (Kena) lets me , I just ask who wears the pants in their house.

I have been known to clean a crappie in the sink, bathtub, or whatever place the situation calls for.

There are no fish that have ever been posted as many times as those. Why catch more if the same old ones will do. I wonder if digital pictures ever wear out

Like any thing else the sooner you can get them cleaned the better. We think fresh crappie right out of RCC(Bass) crappie condo's in the grease is so much better. Than frozen 2 cent's

Default a little help from me friends

I can't taste the difference between fresh ones or frozen in a vacuum sealer. They all taste good to me, and we do catch and eat a bunch of em fresh. I've cooked some of each at the same time to try and see if there was a difference in taste, but once fried, I couldn't tell them apart. In reality, I'd BET most folks can't either!!!!!

We like the ones out of RCC( bass) Crappie condo's. From lake "C"Their the best fat and ready to fry. Will have to get together and have a taste test fresh or frozen

I believe those crappie at the Lake Nimrod crappie camp was the best crappie We have eaten
