Don't know why you guys worked. Everyone and their dog took off today and had a boat in Talala Creek. I located two new spots that NOBODY fishes. I caught a bunch of small fish along with a few over 10". Then I went out into the middle of the lake. Found a lot of timber but no fish. Fish have been from 12' - 20'. Did a lot of trolling speed graph reading today. Finished out the day with only 16 fish over 10" without fishing any regular spots. Gave my fish to a new friend that's recently moved to the Talala Creek area.

All in all not bad. Learned more areas and caught some fish.
Everyone was catching fish. Pretty sure I would have had an early limit had I fish regular spots. I have too much fish as it is and it's almost as fun to find new places as it is to catch.

First pic is one I caught fish off of. Can you see them?
Second and third are the same pile, but no fish. None the less I still have it marked.
The last one was over 75' in length.

I'm still eating crappie from last year. Its going to be catch and release until I get caught up unless somebody wants them.
Today was a perfect day. I was busy digging out a pond at the farm, or It would have been a lake day.

Nice! So jealous of you guys with these badarse finders!!!

What type of boat is the USS-POS??? I was thinking you had a jon but I might be wrong.

I haven't fished Oolagah in a couple of years. My father-in-law passed away last August and that was the lake he camped at 2 months out of the year every year. He was sick and confined to the house a year before he passed. I remember him telling me stories every year of crappie he caught from there. I would like to stalk some of these crappies sometime soon that he told me about.

It's an '80 model Traveler Sea Nymph. I think it was one of the model vieing for the Bass Tracker bid when they were just getting started with the line of Trackers. I am only guessing when I say, I believe it's an Arkansas Traveler. 16'4" bow to transom, 48" wide floor, 72" wide top of 24" deep sidewalls, but here's the links to the rebuild project.

I will be starting another thread that will follow the restoration of the Ranger 393v. I stopped by this afternoon and the owners brother called the owner and said to hook it up and drag it home. He'll get with me this weekend. It will be a fun project. He'll get the first guided tour out of it as well.
