Those should work. I got in to tying for a while but gave up on it after I satisfied my self that I could do it.

Just what I need, another new hobby. Never have tied any jigs before. I got some paint to color the heads the way I wanted them, got 2 different colors of bucktails, and one spool of thread. Rigged up a homemade device to hold the jig, held the spool of thread in my hand and away I went. Overall I think they look pretty good for what I had to work with and being my first attempt. Now all I need to to is get them wet.

Pretty nice jig's. Now your hooked. Need to go check with the Boss and see if you can spend some egg money on some tools and material.![]()

A drop off superglue on the thread before you finish the wrap will help the hair from falling out so quick.
They look great. You are ruint now!

after 40 yrs of tyin I've simplified my formula to white hair, no paint, red thread, LockTite Super Glue! I've caught over 20 strait on the same number of casts enuff times to be sure ya can't improve on the formula. I've also caught 50, 60 an 70 crappie on one jig enuff to trust the durability. I use Danville Flat Waxed thread, 200denier. 3/32 oz heads with a #4 Eagle Claw Lazer sharp hook. and I only use doe tails an only those in estrus! Now y'all know the secret of FishDoc's World Famous Bucktails!LOL!
Wouldn't want to lick one of fishdocs Bucktail jigs lol... I always want to see it wet so usually wet fingers and run down fly can see someone licking one tho lol
