    Don't know how I missed this thread. That's the best looking cooler I've seen all year! Minnows, cranks, jigs? Those are some absolute jumbos. I've been meaning to hit our local perch lake, you just sank the nail in that coffin. Crappie aren't too shabby either. Real nice going Speck.

    I've got the exact same setup at the front of my boat, except the cross member is steel (I'm a machinist). You got the holders off of those cheap clamp on rod holders, right? They work great!

    This is my buddys boat. It fishes pretty good . Mine is set up a little different because its a little wider.

    It's a little early, but while crappie fishing Saturday in New Bern I could smell the Raccoon Perch getting ready to do their thing. I didn't catch any but my buddy did on our last trip there a few days back. I'd say that the spawn for them is getting close, the water temp was pushing 51* in spots.

    My Father told me that many years ago, probably late '40's, his two uncles would take him bass fishing on the North River. They always hired the same guide every year. He said they had some great times fishing the area.
