Default Needed a video camera again

Left out Monroe Park early and caught a nice sunrise. Started at OPP and nobody home. Headed out the old channel towards the middle. Faught and picked my way through the hydrilla floating everywhere to clean water. Started picking off a few every so often but nothing fast or furious. Got over around the beach ball and turned and headed for the pyrimid. Started getting some pretty regular then. Ended catching 46 and kept 16. Mostly sammich makers with a few gooduns thrown in.

Now for the needing a video camera part.

I am sure most yall remember a few months back when my dog decided to jump in and steal that fish from me. Well I rigged a leash around my rear pedestal so he cant now or at least wont get far. He can just make getting his whole head on the front deck but not his legs. So anyway as its warming up and in one of the slow areas I decided to peel off my sweatpants, yes I had shorts on under em. So as I got them around my ankles and just as I kick off 1 shoe, fish on. So I get him in and as I am taking him off another goes down. Dropped the one on the deck, small anyway, grab other pole and start reeling in. Fish on deck starts floppin around, dog goes spastic, fish flops into my sweatpants around my ankles, dog grabs at fish snd gets a mouth full of sweatpants and bebins a tug of war. My foot with the shoe on get pinched and tread digs in, dogs pulling like all heck. Trying to poke him in head that I cant really see, boat starts turning hard so gotta poke at foot peddle and dog randomly. Bout to get face planted on front deck and finally the fish somehow flopped back out and in 2 kicks was back swimming. If I woulds got that on film I deffinately woulda sent to Funniest Home Videos.

Anyway heres some picks fer yaName: IMG_20141220_070311.jpg

Well heck, sorry I missed that show must have been too far away. Glad you found the nicer fish. Never quite made it over to the bb, guess I should have kept going. It sure was a nice day to be on the water, and glad your feeling better.

I would have paid good money to see that! I don't feel so bad now, my goofiness is legendary stumbling around the boat sometimes. Good lookin fish, always good to get out regardless.

That dog adds a whole nother level of excitement to a fishing trip. He watches my rods with more tenacity than I do. I have to literally fight him for every fish coming in. And the looks I get when just reeling in a blank are priceless, I believe he is thinking " what ya doing moron? Cant catch one if the dern roadrunner is dry". Schools of jumping mullet bout give him a coronary cause fish are jumping but no rods bending.
