It's the right time of the year, usually from Nov. to April are the best times.

Hey Vic, looks like you and stu had another stellar day on Crescent, going to make it up there one of these days but the Monroe fish keep calling me. Caught a few first thing in the morning on the shore with jig and cork then went out to troll up some more. Not the 2 pounders like Crescent but kept 12 fish to make chowder for our work Christmas party that were from 12" to 15". Not many people out fishing not sure if it was too cold for them or what. It was a bit cold and windy in the am but it calmed down around 10 or 11 am and got real nice. The fish are still there and biting well caught 43. They were wanting bright colors today not dark like last week and slowed down a bit to between 1.1 and 1.2 mph. Water temp in the river was 58 and the lake was 58 on the shore and 61-62 mid lake.

    Vic,
Let me give you a little hint.............5 yrs ago i fished Crescent on Classic,
weighed in 9 1/2 lbs on 7 fish and finished 22nd.

    Yesterday i - weighed in 12 1/2 lbs and finished 22nd.
At 11:30am we were culling 1 lb 4 & 5 fish to make sure live well could hold and
not loose any. Lost 1 hog-g-g- that had on for 10 min saw him twice, head was
big enough to bury a baseball in without touching the sides..............12' sam heaton
and 6 lb trilene on pfygler could not hold him before he spit hook..
Partner Dave Dirt, lost 2 within same run that went well, well into the 2 lb range........
All & all it was a great day yesterday.

Will post results later today on FCC forum.............pictures will follow later in week,
