Smile Old-timers' secret to increasing size of catch

We've all had those days when every fish is a dink. I learned long ago how to fix this situation. As a lad, we had no indoor plumbing. We went outside and primed the pump to get it started. No prime the pump, no water in the bucket.
This principle applies to fishing as well. Yesterday, I caught five dinks in two hours, while others were catching quality crappie. I told the guys about seeding the bucket (prime the pump). The next two dinks went into the bucket to get it primed. Immediately, the bucket started to fill with quality fish.
This is a proven method, as it has worked many times for both trout and crappie. Just ask the guys who fished CB yesterday.

ps Don't forget to release the two dinks before you leave.

Even as a little kid, I remember my dad always telling me that you never toss back the first fish you catch or you won't catch any the rest of the day.

I totally agree, only problem where I fish there's a ten inch limit and I don't think it's worth taking a chance on a ticket.

Never a believer in the old wives tales. Never had a problem catching more fish after tossing the lil ones back. Wind out of the west, fishing is the best, wind out of the east, fishing is the least....malarky!

They always told us not to throw the first fish of the day back....said you would be throwing your luck away if you did.
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

Different strokes for different folks. I don't really believe in it, but it works out that way. Could it be coincidences? Back to Gunny Gibbs' rule about coincidences.
