Sounds like we need to organize. I'm all for it. Good post.
If people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles.

    Billbob Translation:

"Each one is different. I have been to a couple of camps and some are rough. Maybe we can get a sponsor to tell us what they want to see?"

I can understand the sponsors view and agree, but I'll bet if you asked the winners if they want to join crappie.com and write a review after all the fun they had, you betcha they would be all in. I'm here because of one of these get togethers, had a great time there and met some great friends. It is a good place to try to recruit new members.

I did not realize the event was so "open". Ive been a member for a couple of years and never attended because I fell like I would be out of place and a stranger.
I've put on boat Owner tournament for a boat manufacturer for the past 2 years and it has grown into a regional event. I've learned a lot the hard way being that I had never done anything like it. I lost a few sponsors because they never got feedback If you are trying to grow the crappie.com community then the "open to the public", join to win is a good idea, but you will get a lot of people that join for the reason of winning. Members only could work if you had a check-in where people got checked off a roster and got the good ol "Hello I'm _____" sticker.

Congratulations to the winners and if they are not members, maybe they will become ones soon, if not , then lesson learned. I'll try to make it next year and help if I can.
