    I want one of these and wondered if anyone here has any practical experience
    with one they purchased or built.
    It's called a "rocket stove" and this one is called the Deadwood Stove.
    Comments welcome.

    There are a bunch of video's on youtube of people showing home made cooking rocket stoves................ Some of them are very cool. Been meaning to build one, just ain't got to it yet......

    Well, I've made 3 trips to the salvage yard and picked up enough material to build one just like it and have now invested a total of $11.00 in materials. Gonna do my cutting
    and grinding tomorrow and weld it up Saturday. I will share a photo of my finished product. All my research has convinced me I can't live much longer without one in my
    collection of camping stuff. Youtube has ruined me, I think.

    don't show my wife. we just about need a bigger tow vehicle (now using a suburban) to put everything in.

    That stump stove is something else. Makes for an efficient camp stove without the bon fire effect. Simple enough to make some up and stash them for later use.
