In the busy times I tie right at 100 a day and right now on most days I'm tying around 30 to 50 a day trying to stay ahead. I started like most tyers, thought I would buy a few things to start tying myself a few jigs. I started out spending $100 on tools and materials and within a month I had ordered over $1000 in materials, LOL the tying bug jumped all over me! For the last two years I have poured the jigs that I use and that is another whole different hobby to itself.

Over the last couple of years I have helped a few new tyers out with materials to help them get started because tying has been good "to" and "for" me and I think we should pay it forward if we can and help new tyers and all tyers to learn the art of tying. Like Skip has said many times, we need to learn the right way to tie first from the guys that have spent the time learning the right way. I don't think I'm one of those guys, I just try to make a few videos when I can because I have been asked to and I enjoy sharing the hobby. My upstairs game room, the room that I was going to take a "small" corner for a tying station has now turned into my mad world of tying!!
