    Default Question for Smokers

Has anyone ever smoked a ham on the Masterbuilt? Wife's got one about 10 pounds and I was wondering if I had time to smoke it and have it about supper time tonite?

Youve got time, heck as hot as it is outside you can probably cook it on a flat rock.

If its pre-cooked...I wouldn't use the temp probe.....all you are really doing is warming it up and adding smoke to it.....probably three hrs. on 225 ought to do it........use your water pan though so you won't dry it out.

    Default Question for Smokers

Doing just like you guys suggested, its fully cooked, I rubbed it with real honey and brown sugar, put it in smoker at 225, for 3 hours then wrap it for an hour, wife made a baste from honey, brown sugar and pineapple juice. We shall see, think I am gonna do some of those spuds on the grill also.

If you want something really good, I spice up a Turkey and put it on the rack just above the water pan with Apple Juice in it and I put a ham on the rack above the Turkey. That way the Ham juices drip down onto the Turkey and adds flavor. They are done cooking at the same time. Yum Yum.
I may be getting older but I refuse to grow up.
