    I have repaired a couple with a 2 part plastic epoxy made by LocTite. Found it at Lowes. JB Weld will work also

    You can epoxy til you're blue in the face. It'll work for a while...til you hit another stump. Save the hassle and buy yourself a product called the TRANDUCER SHIELD AND SAVER. It works better than new and is absolutely permanent.
