    Here's one-

If you haven't run your boat in a while, hook it up to some rabbit ears and crank her up at the house. For one, it will let you know that you'll probably fire up when you make it to the water. Second, it will start easier when you get there.

Although, I chuckle a little bit when folks fire up the motor and give the throttle a couple of quick jabs before backing it down the ramp.

Just yesterday saw a guy pullhis boat out and block the whole ramp while he put everything in his truck and tie down . Last week saw them pull a pretty green chevy out of the water . The whole truck . I always get me a biscuit at tommies and get there about 7:30 or later . Give all the bass fishermen time to get out of the way . I undo everything except the front and then pull aroung and back down . They are no better in tommy's parking area . They will just stop and block it so you can't even get in and go and eat breakfast for an hour . Just something i have seen the last couple weeks .

If you see someone by themselves offer to pull their truck up and park it a ways up the ramp so they can park boat and then get out to park truck. That in itself will save a lot of time waiting. Not all of us have friends to fish with us.

Feeshrman,,,, I actually tow my 19.5' ranger with an 2 wd s10 blazer,,,, trick is to have a strong enough motor, like my 4.3 and a good Thorsten locker rear end and a set of 373 gears,,,,walks it out every time without any troubles,,,

Be sure to back down and take up 2 lanes. When the boat goes into the water crowd over on the third lane.
