Thread: Tourney boat checks

The national tournament trails give lie detector tests to the winners and big fish winners and a few others at random. I have not heard of anyone failing one but it could happen.

A cheater will find a way to cheat no matter what, even if ya check the boat, truck, garage, or whatever. It's all about integrity.

I don't think you'll find any cheaters here! As Hawgdog said, what would it cost ya IF ya did get caught!!!!! Just ain't worth the risk to reward for 2-300 bucks, or ANY amount if money!!!!

I have seen a cheater get caught at one of the old Crappiethon tourneys at Reelfoot one year. They they failed the voice stress test over the phone, but they still paid them because the legal fees would have been outrageous to fight it, and a polygraph doesn't hold water in court, but they permanently terminated the teams membership for future events. That's been 30+ years ago tho.

The fish they weighed didn't have hook marks in their lips, and the fish looked like they had net marks on them. That's back when it was legal to net crappie commercially on Reelfoot.
